Lower Merion High School’s Unified Sports Interscholastic Track & Field season is off and running — literally! After two exciting away meets, it was the Aces' turn to host as they welcomed Upper Merion and Cheltenham’s Unified Track & Field teams for an afternoon of fun-filled competition at Arnold Field.
During each meet, Unified student-athletes have the opportunity to compete in a field event, a running event, and a relay. Events include the 100m, 400m, 800m, 4x100 and 4x400 relays, shot put, long jump, and mini-javelin — giving everyone a chance to run, jump and throw their way to a great time!
Unified Sports brings together students with and without disabilities for a meaningful athletic experience, promoting inclusion, acceptance, and mutual respect. It’s a shining example of how LMSD is building a sense of belonging for all students. #LMSDBuildingBelonging
