Time to Opt Out of LMSD Transportation for 2026-2027

For the 2026-2027 school year, LMSD is asking families who do not anticipate their students will use LMSD Transportation to get to or from school to opt out of transportation.

Families who opt out of transportation help us improve the efficiency of our transportation system for those students who need the services. Opt-out requests must be submitted by June 30, 2026.

If your student is eligible for bus transportation but will not be using their assigned seat, please opt out by June 30, 2026.

Important Notes:

• Opting out will not affect your student’s ability to use District-provided transportation for field trips, CMTHS, work programs, activities/sports, late buses or emergency evacuations.
• If you do not wish to opt out, no action is required.
• To opt out, log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, navigate to the “eCollect Forms” section and complete one Transportation Opt-Out form for each student.

Reinstating Transportation

Families who opt out of transportation may opt back in at any time; however, please allow up to 10 business days for transportation services to be reinstated.

• Opt-in requests submitted between July 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026, will be processed after October 1, 2026.
