There's an app for that! Get the LMSD.org app for your mobile device

Want to keep up on all the latest news from LMSD and your students' schools? Download the convenient LMSD app!

The app is available in both the App Store and Google Play. Just search "Lower Merion School Dist." and add the app to your mobile device. For information on how to customize the app so that you receive information from the school(s) or about the topics you're most interested in, you can watch this video, or review the steps below:

Once you have the app on your device, you’ll see “Welcome Guest” and a “Login” button at the top of the screen. If you’ve already created an account on our website, sign in to the app using your existing username and password. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one by following the steps here. (Note: the website login is different from your PowerSchool Portal login).

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to filter what you see when you click on “Posts” or “Events.”

To activate your Post filters, click on “Posts” at the bottom of the screen and then on “Filter” once the posts page loads. Use the toggle buttons to turn on posts on topics you want to see and turn off posts on topics you don’t. We suggest that you keep the filter for “District Information” turned on, so that you don’t miss any important District-wide updates or alerts.

Once you’ve set up your "Posts" filters, you’ll want to go through the same process for "Events." Click on the "Events" icon at the bottom of the screen and then on “Filter” at the top. Use those toggles to turn topics on or off. Again, we suggest you keep “District Events” turned on.

You can also subscribe to get notifications when new posts are added for specific topics. First, click on a post. You’ll see the topic area noted under the date of the post, and then the word “subscribe” with a little bell. Click on the bell and you’ll be subscribed to all posts related to that topic – whether it’s a specific school, the Board, or an organization like the ISC or Wellness Council.

Sometimes, you may want to access a school’s information on the full lmsd.org website, rather than the app. To do that, click the word “More” at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to a list of all of our schools, as well as our staff directory.

When you click on a school name, you’ll be taken to that school’s page on our desktop site and can use the “hamburger menu” – that’s those three little stripes at the top corner – or the magnifying glass search tool, to find additional information.
