Tax Rebate Information for Qualified Senior Citizens

The Lower Merion Board of School Directors has approved a program under which qualified senior citizens who live in Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough can apply for a partial rebate of the amount they are paying for Lower Merion School District property taxes.

Applicants for this rebate must FIRST meet the qualifications set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's PA-1000 Property/Tax Rent Rebate Program and complete the filing process for that rebate.

Once that payment from the Commonwealth is received, then you can complete the steps below.

To get the LMSD rebate, qualified individuals need to print out this form, fill it out completely and mail it to:

  • To receive a rebate for taxes filed in 2024 for the 2023 tax year, the form must be submitted between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025.
  • Once the completed form is received by LMSD, applicants can expect to receive a rebate check from the District in approximately 30 days.
  • You do not need to attach a copy of your tax bill.
