As this summer's session of SPIES wrapped up, students enjoyed a fun-filled assembly led by two members of the Harlem Wizards.
SPIES stands for "Succeed, Progress, Improve, Enjoy your Summer" and is the District's summer program for students in grades Pre-K to fourth grade.
The Wizards pumped up the crowd with fun music, showed off some trick shots on the basketball court, and then involved several students and staff members in fun games.
Two students even won official "Wiz Kid" jerseys for their unmatched skills of concentration and coordination, as the players tried to trick them into missing passes. The assembly wrapped up with a raucous dance party that had everyone on their feet.
The final day of SPIES for this summer is August 7, 2025.
