Representatives from the Narberth Fire Company recently visited Penn Valley Elementary School, bringing excitement and important lessons in fire safety to kindergarteners.
Firefighters spoke to students about their role as helpers who come when there's an emergency, showing them how they put on special protective gear to stay safe from fire and smoke. The children were thrilled to get an up-close look at the big, shiny fire truck and all its fascinating equipment. Firefighters explained the purpose of each tool, from the hoses and ladders to the flashing lights. Students also learned key fire safety tips like staying low in smoke, practicing “Stop, Drop, and Roll,” and ensuring home smoke detectors have working batteries.
A heartfelt thank you to the Narberth Fire Department for taking time out of their busy schedules to visit Penn Valley and teach our students the essentials of fire safety!
