Panthers Gobble Up Gratitude with “Thankful Turkey” Activity

LMSD recently celebrated American Education Week by inviting parents and guardians into schools across the District to experience first-hand the incredible learning happening in their children’s classrooms.

At Penn Valley, parents of full-day kindergarteners in Ms. Sarah Joyce's class joined their little ones for a fun, Thanksgiving-themed activity, creating ‘Thankful Turkeys’ together. This heartwarming project offered families a meaningful way to connect, celebrate the season, and engage with the exciting world of early education!

American Education Week is a cherished tradition that underscores the vital partnership between families and schools in fostering student growth and success!
