Pair of LMSD Musicians Earn Seats in All-State Orchestra

The Pennsylvania Music Education Association (PMEA) recently announced that a pair of Lower Merion School District students have been named to the esteemed All-State Orchestra, which is composed of the top instrumentalists from throughout the Keystone State!

Congratulations to Harriton senior cellist Pietro Fosco Romussi and Lower Merion junior violist Lela Miller on this extraordinary accomplishment!

Pietro and Lela will now join their fellow student-musicians selected to the ensemble as they perform at the 2023 PMEA All-State Festival, which will take place April 21-23 in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania.

The mission of the PMEA is to advance the study of music education throughout the commonwealth while encouraging excellence in the study and teaching of music. The association supports and promotes quality music education through the sponsorship of workshops, conferences, performances and festivals throughout the commonwealth.
