Harriton High School’s Milan Ramey earned “Main Line Athlete of the Week” honors after winning gold in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash for the fourth-consecutive year at the recent Central Athletic League (CAL) Track & Field Championships. The senior set a new CAL record in the 200-meters with her impressive time of 24.23 seconds.
When she isn’t running, Ramey serves as co-president of Harriton’s Black Student Union (BSU), an officer in the school’s Medical Club, a freshman mentor and a National Honor Society (NHS) tutor.
Ramey recently signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) as she officially committed to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Pennsylvania next year.
“What truly makes Milan special is her leadership and hard work both on and off the track,” said Harriton track & field coach Nick Cimino. “She’s always there for her teammates, pushing them to be their best while also creating a fun and enjoyable environment with her silly and lighthearted personality. She’s not just a star athlete. She’s a role model and an outstanding young adult. She is the type of athlete every coach hopes to have on their team.”
