Lower Merion School District held its 2025 high school graduation ceremonies at the Finneran Pavilion at Villanova University on June 4 and 5, 2025.
The Harriton Graduation was held on June 4, 2025, and the Lower Merion graduation was held on June 5, 2025. You can watch the Harriton ceremony here and the Lower Merion ceremony here. Photos galleries from the ceremonies will be shared on the District website the week of June 9, 2025.
303 students graduated from Harriton High School. MC’s were Student Council President Audrey Anna Mariani and Serena Jing-Xuan Lin. Acting Principal Stuart Warshawer addressed the graduates, followed by School Board Vice President Dr. Todd Ridky and selected student Kyler Zhou Barnes Parker.
The final speaker was Superintendent Dr. Frank Ranelli, who asked senior Musyn Dennis to share thoughts on gratitude for the parents and guardians who helped the students reach this special moment in their lives.
459 students graduated from Lower Merion High School. Senior Class Officer Keira Gibbons offered welcoming remarks. Student Council members Hannah Cohen and Emma Maloney served as the Masters of Ceremonies. Amelia Peck offered the Senior Class Oration, which was followed by presentation of the Class Gift by the Class Officers.
Student Council members Harper Morse and Dylan Silberman presented the Fritz Brennan Award to teacher Sania Mirzanschall, who was selected for this honor by the students. Then, 13-year-old Katherine Hughes presented the Sean Hughes “Character Counts” Award in memory of her father, the beloved longtime LMHS principal who was killed in a car crash in November 2021.
Remarks were offered by School Board President, Dr. Kerry Sautner, Student Council Officer Emma Maloney, Principal Dr. Michael Johnson and Superintendent Dr. Frank Ranelli. Dr. Ranelli asked Anthony Labbad to share his expression of gratitude for parents and guardians.
Both programs concluded with the awarding of diplomas by members of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors and the tassel ceremony, following which the jubilant students tossed their caps in the air to celebrate their achievements.
