Lower Merion School District was well-represented at the Pennsylvania Technology Student Association (TSA) Region 5 Conference, held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Pennbrook Middle School. Teams from Harriton, Lower Merion, Bala Cynwyd, Black Rock and Welsh Valley delivered outstanding performances as they went head-to-head against some of the region’s most talented STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) students.
Participants showcased their skills across a diverse range of events, from hands-on engineering challenges like Structural Engineering and Robotics to creative fields such as Fashion Design and Digital Video Production, as well as analytical competitions like Biotechnology Design, Coding and Debating Technological Issues. With such a wide variety of events, students of all interests and skill sets had opportunities to shine.
Collectively, the Rams, Aces, Knights, Royals and Dragons secured an astounding 98 top-three placements overall, including an impressive 35 first-place finishes. LMSD is incredibly proud of all the students and staff who represented the district with distinction and wishes them the best of luck as they prepare for the PA TSA State Conference in April!
