Lower Merion School District was well-represented in the winner's circle of the 2025 Charlotte Miller Simon Poetry Contest sponsored by the Ardmore Free Library as seven students were recognized for their submissions to this year's contest. Congratulations to all of the District’s honorees!

Students from public and private schools throughout the area were invited to write and submit one original, unpublished poem with entries falling into one of three categories: the children's division for 6-12 year olds; a teen division for 13-17 year olds; and the adult division, for contestants 18 years and up.
"A Poetry Celebration" is set for Sunday, March 16 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room on the second floor of the Lower Merion Township Administration Building where the winning poets will read their entries to the audience.
