Congratulations to the LMHS Class of 2026!

Lower Merion High School held its 2026 Commencement Exercises at Villanova University’s Finneran Pavilion, where 415 seniors proudly crossed the stage to receive their diplomas and officially become Aces alumni!

The evening began with the LMHS Symphony Orchestra performing “Pomp and Circumstance” as students and staff processed into the venue. Senior Tori Locascio provided opening remarks before handing emcee duties over to Class President Maya Zada and Vice President Joseph O’Gara.

Alistair Browning then delivered the Senior Class Oration, followed by the presentation of the Class Gift by class officers. School Board President Dr. Kerry Sautner then offered remarks before the presentation of the Fritz Brennan Award, which was given to longtime LMHS mathematics teacher Brian Feeney.

Nolan Hughes then presented the Dr. Sean Hughes “Character Counts” Award in memory of his father, the beloved longtime LMHS principal who was killed in a car crash in November 2021. This year’s honoree was Marcus Lord, who demonstrated the principles of strong character and leadership throughout the school year.

Additional remarks were offered by Class President Maya Zada, Principal Dr. Michael Johnson and Superintendent Dr. Frank Ranelli. The program concluded with the awarding of diplomas by Dr. Ranelli and members of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors, followed by the traditional tassel ceremony.
