A Special Veterans Day Visit at Penn Valley

Students at Penn Valley Elementary School recently had the opportunity to welcome a very special guest in honor of Veterans Day! Captain Peter Ross, husband of Penn Valley Instructional Assistant Barb Ross, visited Mr. Dolbeck’s first-grade class to share his experiences serving in the armed forces as a Marine. He read a children’s book about life in the Marine Corps and answered the many thoughtful questions students threw his way. After his visit, each student wrote Captain Ross a thank-you note to express their appreciation for both his classroom visit and his service to our country!
