Black Rock VEX Robotics Team Qualifies for States!

On January 24, 2026, the Black Rock Middle School VEX Robotics teams hosted the VEX Push Back State Qualifier Tournament.
The tournament included teams from seven schools, as well as several private teams.
The Royals were not only generous hosts, they also performed well against the tough competition. Each of the Royals' teams won a match in the elimination round.
Teams A (Lavender Logic), B (Orbit) and C (Tank Engines) moved on to the semifinals. The Tank Engines then not only made it into the final elimination round, they also won the Design Award and qualified for the State Championship.
Congratulations to the Tank Engine team members Ivan Li, Finnegan Keeler, Thomas Airoldi and (not pictured) Benjamin Sherman. Best of luck at States!
