Draft Special Education Plan Now Available for Review, Feedback

The Lower Merion School District’s Special Education Plan for 2024-2027 is now available for your review and feedback. This plan is created and submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (DOE) once every three years. 

Here’s how you can participate in the required process for submitting this plan:

  1. Please review the plan, which you can access here.

A hard copy of the plan will be available for review in the main office of each school buildings until the end of the school year and at the reception desk of the District Administration Offices at 301 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore during regular business hours. 

  1. Once you have reviewed the plan, you can share your feedback through the methods below:


In Person: Staff, parents/guardians and community members can also provide feedback to members of the Special Education administrative team on April 2, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Administration Offices, 301 E. Montgomery Ave., Ardmore. 

Your feedback, which will be carefully reviewed and considered, will be taken through April 11, 2024. The plan will be presented at the Curriculum Committee meeting of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors on April 8, 2024, with a final presentation seeking Board approval at the Regular Business Board meeting on April 15, 2024.
