Gladwyne’s second grade Gifted Support class is currently exploring Aesop’s Fables. These timeless stories still hold remarkably true till this day. The Internet creates not only an interesting, modern format for our study, but it also provides a vast bank of resources that the students can easily access.
Many of the fables found online have been “modernized” to reflect more current cultures, ideals and events. The Challenge students are researching, reading and developing personal fables that closely adhere to Aesop’s teachings, but incorporate a more meaningful present day feel.
