One Example of a Teacher or Grade Level Website
Mrs. Folgia's Site
This website is an example of what a class or grade level website might contain. This particular site was developed as a result of a technology course assignment in which the teacher was asked to layout on paper what a class website would look like. We took this one step further and developed the site.

Space
Space Web Page
While the sites on this web page are suitable for all ages, this page contains links to sites that are very graphic oriented. They are sites that a teacher could lead students through using a projection system, and they are ones that even kindergarten students can navigate independently or with limited teacher support. The content could be used to generate interest, to illustrate, or to explore topics related to space.

Space Templates
(Age, Weight, Etc.)

ageonplanets-graph.cws

arrangeplanets.cws

distancejumpedplanets.cws

highjumpplanets.cws

weightonplanetsSS.cws

These AW 6 Spreadsheet Templates calculate a student's age, weight, jumping height, and jumping distance on other planets and on the moon. All students need to do is enter the appropriate information for earth and the data for the other planets appears. One set of these simply has a photo of the planet and calculates the numbers. The other version calculates and graphs the data.

Another template allows students to drag the planets into their appropriate relationship to the sun (closest to farthest.)

Animals
Dinosaurs Website
This website was designed around several topics that are typically addressed as our kindergarten students learn about dinosaurs. The text on each page was composed by teachers and links were selected to illustrate and elaborate upon the ideas and topics on that page. Each page was shown first on a projection system. The teacher read the passage with the students and used the embedded links to illustrate. Students then explored the links on their own. The site can be used by first graders either with or without teacher support.

This same site appears on the first grade menu since first grade students read a story about dinosaurs and this can be used as a supplement to that reading.
