Putting
A Flag on the Moon
Web Page
|
This web page was adapted from a page that was much too difficult
for first grade students to understand even if the teacher read
the page to them. In this adaptation, the important information
was kept but put into more concise and simple language. It was
developed as a page that could be displayed on a projector and
discussed as it was read to the students. |

Templates (Age, Weight, Etc.) |
These AW 6 Spreadsheet Templates calculate a student's age, weight, jumping height, and jumping distance on other planets and on the MOON. All students need to do is enter the appropriate information for earth and the data for the other planets and the MOON appears. One set of these simply has a photo of the planet and calculates the numbers. The other version calculates and graphs the data.
Another template allows students to drag the planets into their appropriate relationship to the sun (closest to farthest.) |
Moon
Calendar
|
Students drag the appropriate phase of moon graphic from the top of the page to the calendar at the bottom. (Appleworks 6 document)
To set the calendar, just type a 1 in the appropriate slot on the calendar and then delete the content of the days before it and those beyond the last day of the month.
