This video shows students entering their scores from Mad Minute Worksheets into a spreadsheet template that helps them see their progress. The data entered is graphed at the bottom of the page. This can be a helpful tool for student reflection and goal setting and for parent conferences. One second grade teacher using student-led conferencing had the students pull this sheet up and discuss their math progress with their parents in the hall prior to their meeting time with the teacher. Students typically recorded their accumulated scores about once every two weeks. It usually required 5 -10 minutes to update the spreadsheet at the end of one of their computer lab times after students had used the internet, word processing, etc. See a short video of the students at work.
