LMHS tech ed teachers honored at state conference
LMHS teachers Rich Kressly and Mark Piotrowski recently served as keynote speakers at the Technology Education Association of PA's state conference. Their presentation, "Robotics in the classroom – so what?" described how and why robotics and technology education should be used to give students the skills and knowledge to solve specific societal needs and improve the quality of life. They also discussed a unique approach to design and problem-solving. The piece, about a new robotics activity, earned the "Dr. Nevin Andre Award," for journal article of the year. The piece will also be published in the Technology Teacher Journal, a national publication for the field of Technology Education.
