LOST AND FOUND: Lost and Found items will be retrievable during Parent Conferences: April 8-11. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity after this date.
SWEAT PANTS NEEDED: The nurse's office is in need of sweat pants of all sizes. We do not need any other articles of clothing at this time, just pants (all sizes). Thanks, Anita Culp, School Nurse.
BREAKFAST BAGS: Thanks to Mrs. Cook and her class for making breakfast bags for Aid for Friends. The students wrote excellent and caring notes to be included in the bags for the elderly homebound. Thanks to the parents for donating the food items.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PLANTING: Hopefully, we will be receiving a lot of plants to plant in our garden at Penn Valley the week of April 21st. We are looking for volunteers to help us get the plants in the ground in the 5th grade garden. We are planting on April 22nd (EARTH DAY and ELECTION DAY) from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and on April 24th from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm (KIDS WELCOME!). EARTH DAY PLANT COLLECTION: Help fill the new park in Ardmore will plants donated by the community! As you divide your perennials, save some for the park, and drop them off on our plant collection day. We will plant them at Penn Valley Elementary to be divided again when the park is ready for flowers. Whatever we don't use in the park will stay at PV to keep it beautiful. WHEN: Sunday, April 20th from 10-2:00pm, WHERE: the parking lot at Linwood and Athens in Ardmore WHAT: Perennial plants, especially drought tolerant, native plants.
