The books on the required list will be available for purchase at local Borders and Barnes & Noble Bookstores. If the purchase of these books should cause financial strain, please contact Harriton High School administration.
Keeping in mind that you will be tested on your summer readings and must also be prepared for in-depth discussions of them in English class, be sure to take detailed notes as you read, noting such elements as: author, protagonist, antagonist, other major/minor characters, setting, themes, conflicts and their resolutions, and plot details.
Students should expect to be assessed on their reading in the first week of classes and must bring books to class on the first day of school.
The reading assignment is determined by the course you will be taking in the fall. Please read the document carefully to make sure you complete the correct assignment.
