Dear Harriton community,
As students begin the school year we will do all we can to ensure that they will “enter to learn, go forth to serve.” I think most of us would agree that learning and serving are two integral components of a solid education. Another component, I believe, is adjusting to change. As the world around us changes rapidly, it reminds us that change is commonplace. This constant change challenges us as we attempt to provide the strongest program possible for all of our students.
During the summer I encouraged the staff to take a few minutes and discuss with me the qualities of Harriton. These discussions were very enlightening. It is obvious that Harriton’s staff is caring, capable, and committed. I would like to encourage our students, parents, guardians, and the community as a whole to become actively involved in school activities throughout this year. The more that people participate in our schools, the greater the impact will be on our community. At Harriton, we desire your involvement in nurturing our academic excellence as well as your attendance at our school activities. As you become active in our school community, you will see firsthand the caring, capable, and committed attitude of our staff. In addition, your modeling of service will be appreciated by our students and will greatly contribute to providing a strong, well-rounded program for our students. We look forward to working with our students and their families throughout this year.
