Harriton is a two time recipient of the Department of Education's
Blue Ribbon School Award.
Harriton is located in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, in the Lower Merion School
District approximately 10 miles west of Philadelphia. Harriton is "home" to
about 900 students. Although small in number, Harriton's students have
received numerous recognitions and awards at local, state and national
levels.
The wide range of activities at Harriton High School makes it interesting
for all who attend or visit. Students at Harriton not only excel in extracurricular
activities, like sports and community activities, but on the academic
level as well.
The student teacher ratio is 16:1, and the average class size is 25 students.
This environment is excellent for promoting individual student growth
and education. Students have a choice of many courses, including eleven
advance placement and college courses, each of which helps to prepare
the Harriton student to enter the college environment or the work place.
Of the seniors at Harriton High School, ninety-nine percent will receive
a high school diploma this year, and ninety-two percent will continue
on to a 4 year college.
