The Gender/Sexuality Inclusivity and Belonging Committee (GSIB) cordially invites LMSD parents and guardians of students in kindergarten through grade 12 to join the December 5, 2017 meeting being held at 4:30 p.m. in the Administration Building, Room 154 (located at 301 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore).
The committee functions as an advisory group within LMSD to support and address the unique needs of students who are exploring and facing gender identity challenges. This meeting will be facilitated by Jeanne Stanley, Ph.D.
Dr. Stanley has been working with Lower Merion School District for many years and is a licensed psychologist, national trainer, published author, consultant, adjunct graduate faculty member and former director of graduate counseling programs at the University of Pennsylvania.
This meeting is open to adult family members who would like to share concerns and perspectives around students' issues related to gender identity, thereby, informing the process of making our school community a safe environment where all students thrive and reach their potential.
