Dawgma Robotics gets hands-on with collaborative robots at LMHS

The Lower Merion High School Dawgma Robotics team recently hosted a presentation and live demonstration from a local robotics company, Automation Distribution – an automation solutions provider specializing in pneumatics, electrical control and motion control products.

On hand for the presentation from Automation Distribution were President Sam Hostvedt, Sales Manager Art McEvoy, and Marketing Director Angela Caruso, who also brought along a "Universal Robots UR5" collaborative robot. The students enjoyed the opportunity to use the "teach pendant" of the robot to create their very own programming and saw first-hand the ease in which collaborative robots can perform repetitive tasks.
