  • Business Insider named LMSD among the top ten public school districts in the nation in 2014
  • On average, more than 11% of each graduating class is recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program with a total of 65 LMSD seniors (HHS/LMHS) honored last year
  • LMHS is annually among the highest SATs in Pennsylvania. The Aces' mean SAT score of 1832 in 2014 was more than 300 points higher than the state average
  • LMHS students/staff have traveled to Haiti, Honduras, Mali, Nepal and Nicaragua in recent years to participate in a variety of educational service projects
  • The award-winning LMHS Jazz Band performed to sold-out audiences during a tour of Italy during the summer of 2014

  • Packed houses for "Maestro the Lion" symphony orchestra productions, a Lower Merion program to introduce Philadelphia-area youth to the wonders of classical music
  • LMSD well-represented at the 2014 PSEA Touch the Future Art Show, with dozens of student works from Harriton and Lower Merion on display. A total of 119 LMSD student works placed in the past four years, the most from any district in Pennsylvania, including six first prizes, two Best in Show awards, and one Juror's Choice Award
