| All absences require a note from the parent/guardian
stating the reason for the absence. When students return to school
after an absence of three days or more, a physician's note
is required documenting the reason for the absence and dates of the
absence. Students may be eligible for homebound instruction when the
physician requires confinement to home or hospital. Documentation
from the physician must include diagnosis, prognosis
and expected date of return. Please contact your child's School Nurse,
Guidance Counselor or the Pupil Services Department if you think that
your child may be eligible for homebound services.
All students are required by law to participate in physical education
unless excused because of ill health or a physical handicap. A physician's
note is required for a medical excuse. The attending physician must
state the diagnosis, extent of limitation of activity and the period
of time needed for recovery.
