The following is a listing of non-profit, community-based programs/events in Lower Merion and Narberth that have been approved for posting by Lower Merion School District. To submit your non-profit, community-based program/event for consideration, please email the LMSD Communications Office at info@lmsd.org.

  • Lower Merion Little League Baseball & Softball for boys and girls - Lower Merion Little League Spring Registration is now open! Eligible participants include children ages 4-14 who live or attend school in Lower Merion Township or the Borough of Narberth. Season runs from early April to mid-June.   • BCWV SQUASH ASSOCIATION Spring Elementary & Middle School session for boys and girls - 8 week program for all abilities for boys and girls in grades 4-8 at The Cynwyd Club, 332 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. The sessions are designed for all levels of play, both beginner and more experienced. Those new to Squash will be given a comprehensive introduction and pushed to improve their skills over the 8 week period!   • Lower Merion High School Swimming Pool - Community Swim Hours for February 2017

  • The Committee to Address Race in Education (CARE) presents "Accelerating Opportunity to Learn (OTL) & Achieving Educational Equity" with Dr. Leslie Fenwick on Wednesday, March 8th from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Lower Merion High School Large Group Instruction (LGI) room.

    Guest speaker Dr. Leslie Fenwick is a Professor and Dean Emerita at Howard University’s School of Education. She received a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership from Ohio State University; a Med in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Toledo; and a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia.

  • A Better Chance in Lower Merion is looking for Volunteers

    A Better Chance in Lower Merion, a non-profit college preparatory program for academically talented, economically disadvantaged male students of color is looking for community members who are interested in volunteering with us.

    Skills needed:

    • Knowledge of college advising and financial aid process
    • Community and business leaders
    • Enjoy writing
    • Event planning
    • Fund raising
    • Tutoring - Math and Science, in particular
    • Tech savvy

The LMTSF is excited to offer a new online purchase option! Just go to the LMTSF website at www.lmtsf.org, and follow the link for Support. After your purchase, you will have the option to send an email notification to your special LMSD staff member or to print out your own PDF of our Recognition Card to personalize.

    Lower Merion Township Scholarship Fund Recognition Cards are the perfect, district-approved way to show your gratitude to teachers, administrators and staff at the holidays! Your purchase will help fund need-based grants to graduates of Lower Merion and Harriton High Schools who are going on to college or vocational school. Cards cost $15 apiece (or 3 for $40) and can be purchased from your school office, or through your school’s HSA, or online at www.lmtsf.org, or by emailing Mary Donoghue at the Scholarship Fund at donoghm@lmsd.org or calling 610-645-1893.
