College Acceptances

Lower Merion School District takes great pride in preparing its graduates for future success. Around 97% of graduating seniors annually attend institutions of higher learning, including more than 165 colleges, universities and trade schools in 2021; additional students may take a gap year or seek full-time employment. Nearly 12% of LMSD graduates enroll directly into schools/programs of art or music; more than 44% of all graduates attend out-of-state and international institutions, one of the highest percentages among Pennsylvania districts.

Harriton and Lower Merion graduates regularly go on to study at the finest institutions of higher learning in the world. More than 40% of the Class of 2021 enrolled at schools ranked among the top 50 colleges and universities by US News & World Report.

The most popular in-state schools include Penn State University, University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, University of Pittsburgh and Drexel University. Popular out-of-state schools include Tulane University, New York University, University of Maryland, University of Delaware, George Washington University and Cornell University.
