Lower Merion's "Winterfest" celebrates Season of Giving

Lower Merion High School recently celebrated their annual Winterfest – a school-wide food drive and fundraiser organized by teachers Tom Kline and Brian Feeney providing students and staff to the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season in its truest form - through service and giving.

The Aces rallied together to make this year's Winterfest the largest, most successful event since the program's inception four years ago. The LMHS community ultimately amassed more than 4,800 pounds of food for the Food Pantry at Saints Memorial Baptist Church in Bryn Mawr, which provides food for those-in-need both in the Lower Merion community and Philadelphia, and raised $1,800 for the Calliope Joy Foundation, a non-profit that works to support leukodystrophy research, through collections, raffles and more. Great job, Aces!
