Is your child gender expansive or transgender? Are you looking for a forum to discuss how to support them as they navigate the social arena of school?
As a significant adult in your student's life, are you looking for guidance on how to help them remain true to self and connect with peers? Are you looking to connect with other families experiencing similar questions and concerns?
If so, please join us at Belmont Hills Elementary School on May 3 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. for this event facilitated by Dr. Jeanne Stanley (Executive Director of Watershed Counseling and Consultation), Dr. Pamula Hart (Belmont Hills' Principal), Mr. Rich Marta (Supervisor of School Counseling, and Ms. Deborah WIlson-Leslie (School Counselor).
You can also join us for a free screening of National Geographic's documentary "Gender Revolution: A Journey with Katie Couric" at Gladwyne Elementary School on April 26 at 6:00 p.m.
In this film, Katie Couric talks with experts about gender identity, brain chemistry, gender expression and also talks with gender expansive and transgender individuals and the people who support them. The film will be followed by a discussion led by members of Lower Merion's Gender Expansive & Transgender Policy Committee (GET).
