5th Annual Cal's Cupcake Challenge returns to Cynwyd

The 5th Annual Cal's Cupcake Challenge to benefit The Calliope Joy Foundation (TCJF) and the Leukodystrophy Center of Excellence at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is set to take place on Saturday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Cynwyd Elementary School.

The day will feature kid bakers (ages 5-15) competing for the title of Cupcake Champion, moon bounces, face painting, arts & crafts, raffles, food and 5,000 cupcakes from the region's best bakeries!

Since the first Challenge in 2014, TCJF has raised $350,000 for children with leukodystrophy, and through these efforts, CHOP established the nation's first Leukodystrophy Center of Excellence. The clinic has grown dramatically as doctors were only treating four patients a month in 2015. Now the Center sees 44 patients a month with families traveling from all over the nation to see the program's 35 specialists.
