The Lower Merion High School Art Department recently released an updated version of InsideOut – the student-run, interactive online forum exploring the world of the visual arts, artists, popular culture and more. More than 28 students collaborated to create the new and improved website, which represents student voice through news articles, student artwork, reviews, critiques, do-it-yourself art projects, cartoons, videos and much more.
InsideOut is a creative outlet for LMHS students to both inspire and be inspired by artwork, and serves as a platform to display and discuss art, including work within the Lower Merion community and beyond.
The site will be updated weekly and will feature tons of fresh content. Some of the recent posts featured on the InsideOut homepage include Cuba: a photo essay in film and digital images by Madison Baker; a video of speed painting in Photoshop by Sihan Wu; and an artist spotlight of Tiffany Nieh highlighting some of her outstanding work in watercolors and charcoal sketches.
Be sure to dive deeper in to the site to explore the amazing student films and photos in the Gallery and Videos sections; have a laugh while perusing the LMtoons page; find aggregated content linking to valuable resources, inspiration and college prep information; and learn the tricks of the trade in student-created arts tutorials and demos.
