On Wednesday, October 25, the CARE Committee will be welcoming back Dr. Howard Stevenson, who will be joining us for our monthly meetings through February 2018. The meeting will run from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the library at Lower Merion High School.
Dr. Stevenson is the Constance Clayton Professor of Urban Education, Professor of Africana Studies, and former Chair of the Applied Psychology and Human Development Division in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the Executive Director of the Racial Empowerment Collaborative, a research, program development, and training center that brings together community leaders, researchers, authority figures, families and youth to study and promote racial literacy and health in schools and neighborhoods.
